The LogiShell brand

Everything you need to write about LogiShell correctly: the name, the mark, descriptions you can copy, and where we actually live on the web.

The name

The product is LogiShell: one word, capital L and capital S. In running text it is never split and never hyphenated.

You will also see it written Logi Shell, and occasionally Log I Shell. Those are the same product, written by people who heard the name before they saw it. We answer to all three, and the site declares them as alternate names, but the form we publish is LogiShell.

Two things we are not. We are not Log4Shell, which is a 2021 vulnerability in a Java logging library and has nothing to do with us beyond the letters. And Logi in our name is short for logic, not a reference to Logitech or any of its products.

What LogiShell is, in one line

LogiShell is one working shell for the age of AI: it wraps any model and any harness behind a single workspace, on your own keys.

Longer, if you have the room

A terminal runs commands and forgets your work. A chat window has the model but not your machine. LogiShell is the place where both meet: local models for private and light work, cloud models for heavy work, your own keys throughout, and no vendor lock. The core is free. The mark

The mascot is LOG: a yellow cube with the face ^_^. The logotype is the word LogiShell with the chevrons, and the only source of truth for it is icon.svg on this domain. The social card is og.jpg.

Please do not recolour the cube, stretch the logotype or set the name in a different face when you have the file. If you need a format we do not publish, ask and we will send it.
